Rules

RentalBid is a public leaderboard for registered tourist accommodation. You pay to promote a URL associated with an accommodation and the bid determines its position. There is no editorial ranking algorithm.

How ranking works

• New promotions bid in whole euros: €5 minimum, €999,999 maximum, in €1 increments.
• Claiming #1 costs at least €1 more than the current leading bid.
• For an existing URL, enter the same URL and increase its total by at least €1. You only pay the difference.
• If two promotions have the same total bid, the older one keeps the higher position.
• Tracking query parameters are stripped from URLs. The path remains part of the promotion identity.
• Position only activates after Stripe confirms payment.

Tourism registration is mandatory

Only accommodation that RentalBid can verify live against an available official tourism source for its autonomous community is accepted. The check confirms that the registration number exists and retrieves the official data needed for the listing. We do not preload the full register to populate the leaderboard.

Who can pay

Anyone can pay to promote a URL linked to a registered accommodation. Payment does not prove that the payer owns, manages or represents the accommodation. Likewise, the “✓ registered” badge verifies the accommodation, not that the promoted URL is its official website.
